Sunday
Depart Leyland at 09.00hrs for our journey to Holyhead to board the early afternoon ferry over to Dublin. Re-join the coach to continue our journey to Treacys Hotel, Waterford, our home for the next two nights, arriving in time for dinner. Arrive to a warm Waterford welcome while your case is taken to your room.
Monday
Today we discover Waterford, Ireland's oldest city on a 1-hour guided walking tour, uncovering its fascinating Viking and medieval heritage. This afternoon join the coach as we head to New Ross, where we step aboard the Dunbrody Famine Ship, an authentic replica that brings the story of 19th-century Irish emigration vividly to life. Explore the ship, imagine life aboard and picture sailors high in the rigging.
Tuesday
Check out of our Waterford Hotel following breakfast, before checking in at our second hotel we experience the beauty of the Suir Valley and take in the wonderful panoramic views of the River Suir on a rail journey along its picturesque banks with views of the world-famous Mount Congreve Gardens. This hidden gem is an area rich in history and is only accessible by train. Continue our journey to Treacys West County Hotel with a stop in Limerick en-route. Arrive to a warm Irish welcome while your case is taken to your room.
Wednesday
Today we enjoy a pleasant single journey by ferry across the Shannon Estuary from Killimer to Tarbert to visit Foynes Flying Boat & Maritime Museum, discover the golden age of transatlantic travel, including the world's only full-size B314 replica. Later we travel to Listowel for a nostalgic journey on the recreated 1888 Lartigue Monorail with a visit to the museum to see models, displays and memorabilia of the Lartigue and main-line railways, before returning to the hotel with time to relax before dinner.
Thursday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast, bidding farewell to our hosts. Before heading to our overnight hotel we board a River Shannon and Lough Derg Cruise to take in stunning views while listening to local folklore, tales, and legends. Continue to our overnight hotel on the outskirts of Dublin, with time to relax before dinner.
Friday
Check out of our overnight hotel following breakfast, before bidding a fond farewell to the Emerald Isle enjoy some free time in Dublin city. Board a ferry late afternoon from Dublin to Holyhead. Re-join the coach in Holyhead to continue our journey home.
