London & The Mountbatten Festival of Music

Itinerary:

Friday
Depart Leyland at 08:00am with a stop for lunch and time to explore Oxford en-route, continue to the hotel arriving with time to freshen up before our evening meal.

Saturday
Following a leisurely breakfast spend a few hours relaxing at the hotel, join the coach at 2pm for the journey into London allowing time to explore, shop, or have an early evening meal and drinks (we are only Bed and Breakfast at the hotel today) before re-joining the coach at approx. 18.00hrs to continue our journey through London, arrive at the Royal Albert Hall for the evening Mountbatten Festival of Music performance at 19.30hrs. Re-join the coach following the performance for our journey back to the hotel.

Sunday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast, head back into London for a stop at Covent Garden, perhaps visit Covent Garden Market a wonderful traffic-free piazza with street entertainers, a great place to people watch with the chance to spot the occasional celebrity, this wonderful area is filled with cosy cafes, pubs and restaurants many with outdoor heated terraces, high end fashion and beauty boutiques, perhaps visit the London Transport Museum, nearby Neals Yard, a colourful corner of Covent Garden filled with character and quirky shops or for somewhere a little quieter there's Seven Dials, a series of seven cobbled atmospheric streets centred by the Seven Dials Monument. Both Trafalgar Square and Cleopatras Needle are less than a 10-minute walk. Re -join the coach at 3.00pm for our journey home.
