Sunday
Depart Leyland at 08.00hrs for our journey to Newquay in Cornwall with a suitable lunch stop en-route, arriving late afternoon at the 4-star Esplanade Hotel to welcome tea/coffee while your case is taken to your room.

Monday
Today's excursion takes us on a scenic drive along the coast to the picturesque fishing village of Padstow where we will have time to explore and obtain lunch in this charming Cornish fishing village of colourful fishing boats, cobbled streets, and a variety of shops. Padstow is also a popular foodie destination, home to the fish restaurant of celebrity chef, Rick Stein. In the afternoon we continue up the coast to the village of Tintagel. According to legend, King Arthur was said to be born on Tintagel Island where the remains of the 13th century castle stand today (admission not included). Enjoy free time at leisure to look around before we return to the hotel.

Tuesday
This morning's excursion takes us to visit the bustling city of Truro with it's picturesque streets with 18th and 19th century townhouses, flowing rivers and a magnificent cathedral that dominates the city. In the afternoon we make our way to The Lost Gardens of Heligan. Lost since the outbreak of WW1, this mysterious garden was re-discovered in 1991 and beautifully restored to its former glory.

Wednesday
Today is a day of leisure in our base resort Newquay.

Thursday
Today's excursion takes us to pretty St Ives, one of the most quaint and attractive towns in Cornwall. It's golden sands, narrow cobbled streets and colourful granite cottages earn it the reputation of being an artist's paradise, allowing time to explore and obtain lunch in one of the many wonderful inns, cafes, and restaurants. In the afternoon journey to Penzance with its long sweeping promenade. Enjoy free time to explore before returning to the hotel.

Check out of our hotel following breakfast for the journey home with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
