Be greeted by the sight of the steam-hauled train illuminated by a thousand lights, pass colourful illuminated displays and colour changing scenery on this wonderful journey. Out tour also includes a visit to The National Shrine and Basilica of Our Lady of Walsingham. Itinerary
Tuesday
Depart Leyland at 08:30hrs for our journey to 4-star Dunston Hall with a lunch stop in Royal Leamington Spa en-route, re-join the coach at 14.30hrs to continue our journey to Dunston Hall.
Wednesday
Following a leisurely start today's excursion takes us to historic Norwich, perhaps visit the market on Gentleman's Walk or the Christmas Market at The Forum, do a little Christmas shopping or relax in a cosy café, tearoom, or traditional inn, try something lovely for lunch in one of the city's many restaurants. Today includes a guided visit to Norwich Cathedral.
Thursday
Today's excursion takes us on a morning visit to the Catholic National Shrine and Basilica of Our Lady of Walsingham, established around 1061, in 1934 the Slipper Chapel was officially declared to be the National Shrine of Our Lady. There is now a gift shop and café on the site, Celebration of Holy Mass is held at the Chapel of Reconciliation at 12noon for anyone wishing to attend. Return to the hotel mid-afternoon.
Friday
Following breakfast today we have a day of leisure to relax at the hotel and enjoy the leisure facilities. This afternoon instead of an evening meal we enjoy an delicious afternoon tea as this evening we take a magical journey on the North Norfolk Railway on the Norfolk Lights Express.
Saturday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for the return journey home with a lunch stop in Lichfield Staffordshire en-route, re-join the coach at 15.00hrs to continue our journey home.
