ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorisation System) is not currently operational. Introduction has been delayed and now looking to be operational during the 2nd quarter of 2025 (looking like May 2025), the only travel documents customers need if they are travelling to the EU before this time will be valid passport not more than 10 years old with at least 3 months remaining on the return date.
Cost of the ETIAS will be 7 euros and can be done online, customers will need an email address, there passport and a debit credit card to hand when they make their application, please allow at least 96 hrs before date of travel to apply, the ETIAS is valid for 3 years or until the passport renews whichever comes first.
For customers who are local Ava Travel will be able to assist and complete the ETIAS registration face to face, the cost will be £16.00 which will include the ETIAS registration and cover staff and admin costs.

Itinerary
Friday
Depart Leyland at 06.00hrs for our journey to Dover with a suitable lunch stop en-route, take the short afternoon channel ferry crossing over to Calais in France your crossing includes access to the Club lounge where you can enjoy a buffet dinner, drinks, snacks and desserts. Re-join the coach as we disembark and continue our journey to Novotel St. Quentin En Yvelines where you'll receive a warm French welcome, please note there is no porterage at the hotel however our driver will be on hand to assist anyone who may struggle with their luggage. Due to late arrival at the hotel there will be no evening meal, this has been replaced with buffet dinner etc in the Club Lounge on the ferry.
Saturday
Today we enjoy a guided tour of the Palace and Gardens of Versailles considered to be one of the most magnificent achievements of 18th century French architecture and design. The awe-inspiring Hall of Mirrors and astonishingly beautiful palatial gardens are some of the wonderful highlights of France's most famous chateau. In the afternoon enjoy free time in the picturesque town of Versailles before returning to our hotel.
Sunday
Spend a morning of leisure and enjoy lunch at the hotel (instead of dinner) before boarding the coach in the afternoon to visit another beautiful chateau, Vaux-le-Vicomte. Spend the evening exploring this magical estate by the flickering lights of 2,000 candles, with an illumination display of fireworks at the end of the night. Dinner can be enjoyed in the self-service restaurant during the evening (not included).
Monday
After an early breakfast this morning, we travel to Monet's country retreat in Giverny where we visit the impressionist painter's charming pink house and iconic gardens. Relax in the gardens and explore at leisure admiring the Japanese bridge and famous waterlily pond. Later, travel to the pretty neighbouring village of Vernon, discover over 200 half-timbered houses with ancient doors and carved timbers, wrought iron shop signs, cobbled paths and the famous Old Mill as you explore the picturesque village, allowing time for you to obtain lunch if you wish, perhaps visit the church and museums or take a leisurely stroll on the less crowded banks of the River Seine with a picnic of bread, cheese and wine purchased in the village.
Tuesday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for our journey back to Calais to board our ferry home with a suitable lunch stop en-route, re-join the coach as we disembark in Dover to continue our journey home.
