Piece Hall Christmas Market

Join us as we head to Piece Hall, Halifax, the only remaining Georgian Cloth Hall in the World, the Grade 1 listed building is a vast architectural phenomenon dating from 1779. The wonderful Christmas Market in these magnificent surroundings showcases some of the region’s best independent food and drink producers, artisan makers and pop-up street food. Featuring a wide range of unique stalls with everything from homeware to jewellery, gifts and delicious food to take home.

 

Customer Note:

the driver will drop off at the bottom of the steps for Piece Hall, this is the designated coach drop off point, he/she will then park at Eureka

 

For any passengers taking scooters/walkers etc or passengers that would struggle with the steps there are side entrances to Piece Hall that are on the level:

 

Option 1, short walk from the steps downhill (main road, Square Road) keeping the library on your RH side to an access only road on same side as Piece Hall called Blackledge, there will be a sign at the top of this road saying Access Only to Square Chapel and Imperial Crown Hotel, walk down Blackledge, past the Square Chapel Arts Centre on your RH side and you'll come to the side entrance of Piece Hall, walk through the arch with ornate iron gates. (less than a 5 mins walk)

 

Option 2.  From the steps walk uphill (main road -Square Road) past the Calderdale Industrial Museum, take the next road left inbetween Burger King and the Woollshops Shopping Centre Car Park, short gradual uphill walk to the side entrance of Piece Hall on your LH side (Hatters Fold, near Toyland). (less than 5 mins walk)

 

Access: The Piece Hall has a fully accessible lift available at both the South and West Gates. Please note that the manoeuvrability access at the North lift is restricted.

 

Wheelchair accessible toilets are available at The Piece Hall.

 

The Piece Hall is a Grade I listed historic building and as such there are some un-even surfaces. We ask that you take care when moving around the building.
