Depart Leyland at 10.00am for our journey to Holyhead to board our afternoon ferry to Dublin, re-join the coach to continue to the Bloomfield House Hotel, our overnight hotel in Mullingar, County Westmeath, in the heart of Ireland's ancient East, once home to Irish author James Joyce.
Monday:
Check out of our hotel following breakfast to continue our journey across Ireland with a lunch stop in Limerick en-route, arriving late afternoon in Killarney at the Gleneagle Hotel, our base for the next 4 nights. Arrive to a warm Irish welcome with tea/coffee while your case is taken to your room.
Tuesday - Thursday
Enjoy leisure time at the hotel with the following excursions:
Full Day tour around the famous 'Ring of Kerry'. An unforgettable journey with beautiful views of the McGillicuddy Reeks Mountains, the spectacular coastline and many signs of ancient settlements.
Today is a driver day of rest so we have included a jaunting car ride and lake cruise with a local operator. See the National Park and beautiful Lough Leane. The afternoon is free to relax or to explore Killarney.
Today we tour the breath-taking Dingle Peninsula on Kerry's wild Atlantic Way, with time at leisure in the pretty fishing port of Dingle. The town is charming, known for quality food and restaurants, interesting shops and galleries, and a vibrant street scene. The area has a rich heritage with ruined fortresses and ancient burial grounds.
Friday:
Check out of our hotel following breakfast to travel back across Ireland with a stop in Tipperary en-route, travel into Dublin for time at leisure before heading to our overnight hotel on the outskirts of the city.
Saturday:
Check out of our hotel following breakfast, travel back into Dublin for a few hours at leisure before we say our farewells to the Emerald Isle, head to the port for our return journey back to Holyhead. Re-join the coach to continue our journey home.
