Itinerary:
Thursday
Depart Leyland at 08.30hrs for our journey to Cambridgeshire with a lunch stop at the beautiful National Memorial Arboretum en-route, allowing time to explore and obtain lunch or have a picnic, depart at 14.00hrs to continue our journey to the hotel. Arrive to a warm welcome while your case is taken to your room.
Friday
Our destination today is a visit to much-loved Sandringham House and Grounds, the Norfolk retreat of Her Late Majesty the Queen, enjoy free time to explore and obtain lunch. Return to the hotel late afternoon.
Saturday
Today takes us to the university city of Cambridge with a full day to explore the city's many attractions. Firstly, we meet our guide for a tour of Cambridge ending with a visit to the American Cemetery and Memorial Site, the only World War II American Military Cemetery in the UK, following our visit enjoy free time in Cambridge to explore.
Sunday
Take a scenic journey over three counties, first stop historic Stamford in Lincolnshire, famed as one of the most beautiful towns in the whole of England with over 600 listed buildings in and around the town consisting of a fine collection of five medieval churches. Continue our journey to Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire, home of the famous pork pie and well known for its cheeses - Stilton and Red Leicester, perhaps sample the local delicacies before we head to Oakham, county town of Rutland, England's smallest county, filled with ancient heritage and rural beauty. Allows time to explore and obtain lunch in one of these beautiful historic towns.
Monday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast to begin our journey home with a lunch stop at RAF Cosford en-route, depart Cosford at 14.30hrs to continue our journey home.
