Itinerary:
Sunday
Depart Leyland at 08.00hrs for our journey to the 4-star Holiday inn, Bath Road with a suitable lunch stop enroute. Arrive at the hotel for an early check in at 15.00hrs, relax while your luggage is taken to your room.
Monday
Today we visit magnificent Windsor Castle, the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world, explore the home of royalty to uncover 1,000 years of history. Wander gilded staterooms housing magnificent treasures, pay a visit to St Georges Chapel in the castle grounds, a beautiful example of Gothic architecture, in the chapel are the tombs of 11 monarchs including Queen Elizabeth II, George VI, Henry VIII and Charles I. Today we also enjoy free time in Windsor.
Tuesday
Today following a leisurely start we head to Henley on Thames, discover the timeless beauty of one of England's most attractive towns with a wonderful riverside location and Chilterns backdrop, perhaps take a long lunch, call in at The Duke the pub where Charles I drank or visit quirky independent shops, return to the hotel mid-afternoon with time to relax before our evening meal.
Wednesday
Our excursion today takes us into London to visit Kensington Palace, home to young royals for over 300 years and the current London residence of TRH The Prince and Princess of Wales and their children. Walk in the footsteps of royals as you journey through King's and Queen's State Apartments, learn the story of Princess Victoria, the young girl destined to be queen in the rooms where she was born and raised with free time in the capital before returning to the hotel.
Thursday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for the return journey home with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
