Sunday
Depart Leyland at 08.00hrs for our journey to Elvetham Hotel in North Hampshire with a lunch stop in Stratford-Upon-Avon en-route. Depart Stratford at 13.30hrs to continue our journey to the hotel, arrive to a warm welcome while your case is taken to your room.
Monday
Visit magnificent Windsor, the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world, explore the home of royalty to uncover 1,000 years of history. Wander gilded staterooms housing magnificent treasures, pay a visit to St Georges Chapel in the castle grounds, a beautiful example of Gothic architecture, in the chapel are the tombs of 11 monarchs including Queen Elizabeth II, George VI, Henry VIII and Charles I. With free time to explore Windsor town.
Tuesday
This morning, we take a River Thames cruise from Runnymede to Windsor with a cream tea served during the trip. Sit back, relax and enjoy the views as we journey from Runnymede Boathouse upstream through Old Windsor Lock, passing The Bells of Ouzeley, through the pretty villages of Old Windsor and Datchet. Travelling through Home Park with views of Windsor Castle, continue passing through Romney Lock with a glimpse of Eton College, arrive below Windsor Castle. From here re-join the coach for a visit to Savill Garden, a 35-acre haven of gardens and woodlands. The gardens are part of The Crown Estate and were commissioned by George V and created by Eric Savill in 1932.
Wednesday
Morning free at the hotel to relax and enjoy the grounds. Join the coach at 12.00 noon for a visit to Henley-On-Thames, the town nestled along the banks of the scenic River Thames, discover a timeless beauty, explore rich history, a vibrant cultural scene, an eclectic array of shops and wonderful places to eat to suit every palate and pocket.
Thursday
Check out of our hotel following a leisurely breakfast for our journey home with a lunch stop in Royal Leamington Spa en-route, departing at 13.30hrs to continue our journey home.

Retaining many original features, this charming hotel is impressive and offers wonderful views onto the grounds. All guest bedrooms are unique in character and individual in style, comfortable, stylishly decorated, and well-equipped rooms, a wonderful place in which to relax. Guest bedrooms are divided between the main building and stable block. All rooms have refrigerators. N.B due to the historic nature of the hotel, there is no lift however ground floor rooms are available on request. |
