Take a nostalgic train journey from the beautiful Georgian town of Holt to visit the smart, Victorian seaside resort of Sheringham on the North Norfolk Railway, passing through the county’s most stunning coastal scenery. Journey to rural Norfolk to visit the much-loved country-retreat of the British Royal Family. Visit rooms regularly used by the Royals, with décor and contents remaining much as they were in Edwardian times, uncover a wealth of history inside. Wander perhaps the finest of all Royal Gardens as they burst into colour ready for the summer, the wonderful grounds developed by each monarch since 1863 when King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra purchased the estate. Sunday
Depart Leyland at 09.00am for our journey to Norwich with a lunch stop in Grantham en-route.
Monday - Wednesday
Full day tour - morning visit to Norwich with time for lunch, in the afternoon journey to the Broads with a stop in Wroxham, the capital of the Norfolk Broads before travelling to the beautiful village of Horning, enjoy time to explore before boarding a Mississippi paddle boat for a circular Norfolk Broads cruise.
Full day tour - following breakfast we journey to Sandringham House and Gardens, discover the magnificence of the much-loved country-retreat of the British Royal Family.
Full day tour - Following breakfast travel to Norfolk's prettiest Georgian town, Holt, with time to explore before boarding the North Norfolk Railway for a journey to Sheringham where we will spend the afternoon with time for lunch. Once an old fishing village that heritage is still evident today in its museums and murals that decorate the promenade of this traditional seaside town
