Itinerary:
Monday
Depart Leyland at 08.30hrs for our journey to North Devon with a suitable lunch stop en-route, arrive to a warm welcome with tea/coffee and biscuits while your case is taken to your room.
Tuesday
This morning, we visit Barnstaple, the historic capital of North Devon where it's market day. Enjoy time at leisure to browse the market and explore the town with it's elegant Georgian buildings, allowing time to obtain lunch. Continue our journey along the coast to the ancient seaport of Bideford delightfully set on the banks of the River Torridge.
Wednesday
Today allows free time to explore Ilfracombe, our base. The Victorian seaside town is known as the jewel in the North Devon Coast. Here you will discover a quaint quayside, whitewashed villas, lovely beaches and an abundance of inns, cafes and shops.
Thursday
Today we step back in time in the charming town of Tiverton, enjoy free time to explore the town that features a historic castle built in 1106, perhaps visit magnificent St Peter's historic church complete with 15th century tower and a fine collection of stained-glass windows or browse from a variety of independent stores on the high street.
Friday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for the return journey home with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
