Itinerary:
Monday
Depart Leyland at 08.30hrs for our journey to our hotel near Winchester with a lunch stop in Royal Leamington Spa en-route, departing at 14.30hrs to continue our journey to the hotel. Arrive to a warm welcome while your case is taken to your room.
Tuesday
Our excursion today takes us to Portsmouth Historic Dockyard and all its attractions, including a cruise around Portsmouth Harbour and admission for the Marie Rose experience. Take a journey through time aboard historic ships, discover the story of the Royal Navy, past, present and future. If time allows later in the afternoon explore Portsmouth or perhaps take a trip up Spinnaker Tower Cost not included).
Wednesday
Journey to the beautiful South Downs, characterised by rolling chalk downs, deep valleys and steep slopes with wide views over wooded farmland of the Sussex Weald and glimpses of the shimmering sea, with a guide on board to enhance our tour of this scenic area.
Thursday
First stop today is the Weald and Downland Museums, location of the 'Repair Shop'. This wonderful hidden gem conserves the past for the future, see what life was like for people of years gone by in this wonderful open-air living museum. Following our visit journey to the compact historic city of Chichester, complete with Norman cathedral and evidence of Roman settlement. Inside the city walls is mostly pedestrianised making exploring easy.
Friday
Check out of the hotel following breakfast for the return journey home, make a lunch stop at Bicester Shopping Village with time to explore and obtain lunch, departing at 13.00hrs to continue our journey home.
