Itinerary:
Monday
Depart Leyland at 09.30hrs for our journey to Mosborough Hall with a lunch stop at Batley Mill Outlet en-route. Continue our journey to Mosborough Hall where you'll receive a warm Yorkshire welcome while your case is taken to your room.
Tuesday
This morning's excursion takes us on a visit to Doncaster Market allowing time to explore and obtain lunch, at 13.00hrs re-join the coach as we head back towards Sheffield to visit Kelham Island Museum, take a historic journey into life during the Industrial Revolution, through the Victorian Era, onwards to discover stories of the wartime Women of Steel to the present and modern history in the city today.
Wednesday
Morning free to relax at the hotel, at 12 noon join the coach for our afternoon excursion to the wonderful visitor attraction: Elsecar Heritage Centre. Elsecar was built by rich aristocrats, once an international centre of ironmaking and coal mining. Today Elsecar village is a much-loved place to visit, with visitor centre, independent shops, artisan studios, an antiques centre filled with treasures and regular favourite of Bargain Hunt, tasty cafes, traditional pubs and beautiful walking routes, including an award-winning park, nature reserve, reservoir, and much more.
Thursday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for our journey home with a lunch stop in Holmfirth en-route, enjoy time to explore the town, filming location of Last of The Summer Wine in the heart of the breathtaking Holme Valley. Re-join the coach at 14.00hrs to continue our journey home.
