Harrogate has been welcoming visitors since Victorian times and has so much to offer. On our tour we will visit some of Yorkshires finest attractions. Sit back and relax on a heritage diesel train journey on the Wensleydale Railway to enjoy spectacular scenery from a historic station. Take a scenic journey to the traditional market town of Thirsk, with a magnificent backdrop of the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors, combined with a visit to the home of James Herriot, Yorkshire’s most famous vet for a great day out. Explore Harewood House, one of England’s magnificent Treasure Houses, view its impressive art collection and Thomas Chippendale furniture before wandering its wonderful gardens designed by Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown.

Itinerary:
Monday
Depart Leyland at 10.00am for our journey to Harrogate with a lunch stop in Skipton on market day en-route. Depart Skipton at 14.30hrs, arrive at the hotel to a warm welcome with tea/coffee while your case is taken to your room.
Tuesday - Thursday
Free time in Harrogate with the following excursion:
Return Journey on the Wensleydale Railway from Leeming Bar. Today we will also visit Knaresborough.
Visit to Thirsk and The World of James Harriot.
Admission to Harewood House. Return to the hotel for free time in Harrogate.
Friday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast before our return enjoy free time in Harrogate, departing at 14.30hrs to continue our journey home.
