Suffolk is home to picturesque rural villages, lush green meadows, rich farmlands and sandy heathlands depicted by the famous painters Constable and Gainsborough. This wonderful tour features a guided tour of Constable Country featuring the iconic Church at Deben and Flatford Mill, a visit to TVs Jimmys Farm - a farm like no other and a wonderful relaxing 2-hour cruise along the River Deben, one of the most beautiful and scenic spots on the East Coast.

Itinerary:
Monday
Depart Leyland at 08.30hrs for our journey to Suffolk with a lunch stop in Lichfield Staffs en-route, depart Lichfield at 13.00hrs to continue our journey to the Priory Hotel, arrive to a warm welcome with tea/coffee and biscuits while your case is taken to your room.
Tuesday
Today our guide joins us onboard the coach, discover idyllic villages of Constable Country. Visit East Bergholt, an unspoilt village that was the birthplace of Constable. See the church at Dedham complete with 131ft tower and the hamlet of Flatford Mill both favoured subject in constable paintings. From here head toward Felixstowe where we will have time to obtain lunch, perhaps enjoy the British tradition of fish and chips by the sea with free time to explore before returning to the hotel.
Wednesday
This morning, we head into the heart of Suffolk to visit Lavenham, one of the UK's most beautiful medieval villages with time to explore and admire the picturesque architecture and perhaps visit the eclectic mix of independent stores. This afternoon we visit Jimmy's Farm, seen on TV and developed over many years from a derelict site to a thriving business, follow the changes with an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour.
Thursday
Following a leisurely breakfast, we journey east to Waldringfield to enjoy a 2-hour cruise on the River Deben with tea/coffee and biscuits onboard, this area is one of the most beautiful spots on the East Coast. Afterwards visit Woodbridge a charming historic, riverside town on the banks of the River Deben, one of the gem's in 'Suffolk's Crown'. Woodbridge has a history of rope making, sail making and ship building, it was here that Sir Francis Drake had his fighting ships built. With free time to explore, perhaps visit the Tide Mill, browse the shops on the vibrant high street or enjoy some alfresco dining in the towns many cafes and restaurants, the choice is yours.
Friday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast, before we leave spend a couple of hours exploring our host town Bury St Edmunds, perhaps visit St Edmundsbury Cathedral or the Abbey Gardens, maybe pick something yummy up from one of the wonderful eateries to enjoy on your return journey, depart Bury St Edmunds at 12noon to continue our journey home.
