Sunday
Depart Leyland at 08.00hrs for our journey to Devon with a suitable lunch stop en-route. Arrive at The Belmont Hotel to a warm welcome while your case is taken to your room.
Monday
This morning, we head south to the coastal town of Torquay where you will have time to explore and obtain lunch. There's no shortage of things to do in Torquay with its stunning seafront, stylish marina and beautiful beaches. Torquay offers great places to eat from cool cafes and gastro pubs to traditional tearooms and ice-cream parlours. Enjoy fine dining at a Michelin-starred restaurant or grab a homemade pasty. Whatever your taste, Torquay has a variety of places to eat to suit every taste bud and budget. Sit and relax at one of the towns cocktail bars or inns, today the choice is yours, whatever you decide Torquay won't disappoint.
Tuesday
Today is a day of leisure in our host town Sidmouth, the Jurassic Coast seaside gem, the town that captivated the Poet laureate, John Betjeman with royal connections to Queen Victoria. Today you can explore beautiful gardens and enjoy leisurely walks, explore Regency history, wander clean beaches to enjoy stunning views. Savour the taste of Devon's finest cuisine, from fresh seafood and traditional cream teas to gourmet dining experiences. Sidmouth boasts quaint cafés, award-winning restaurants, and cosy pubs, perfect for enjoying delicious local produce. Today is also a chance to fully appreciate the Belmont Hotel.
Wednesday
Today's excursion takes us along the coast to Seaton to board the heritage Seaton Tramway for a return journey to enjoy stunning views of the glorious Axe Valley, passing through two nature reserves filled with bird life, a paradise for any bird watcher. Back in Seaton enjoy free time to explore and obtain lunch or experience the beach front. In the afternoon return to Sidmouth via the famous Donkey Sanctuary, visit to learn of the history of how this wonderful charity was set up and how they work with countries all over the world, with a chance to meet some of its friendliest residents.
Thursday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast to bid farewell to our hosts for the return journey home with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
