Depart Leyland at 09.30hrs for our journey to Derbyshire with a lunch stop en-route in Ashbourne, known as the 'Gateway to Dovedale'. Explore winding cobbled streets, a welcoming Market Place and a wealth of Tudor and Georgian heritage with over 200 listed buildings allowing time to explore and obtain lunch. Shopping here is a pure pleasure thanks to its wonderful choice of small, family-run businesses. Browse for fine antiques, quality food and drink, designer fashion and much more, then relax over a coffee or lunch in a selection of cafés, inns and cosy tea rooms. Depart Ashbourne at 14.00hrs to continue our journey to the hotel, arrive to a warm welcome with tea/coffee while your case is taken to your room.
Monday
Today our excursion takes us to Nottingham, home of Robin Hood and lace. Beneath its modern charm, Nottingham has a rich history of rebellion, invention and industry just waiting to be discovered with wonderful places to eat and a great shopping scene, with the city centre's compact size and pedestrianised streets it is very convenient for strolling between shops. You will find a colourful mix of stylish independent retailers, specialist boutiques and big brand favourites lining the historic streets.
Tuesday
Today's excursion takes us on a scenic drive into the Peak District, the oldest National Park in the UK with stops in Buxton and Bakewell allowing time to explore and obtain lunch before return to the hotel mid-afternoon.
Wednesday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast. Before commencing our journey home visit nearby McArthur Glen East Midlands Shopping Outlet to discover brands you love with unmissable discounts and great places to eat allowing time to browse and obtain lunch we depart at 13.30hrs to continue our journey home.
