Itinerary:
Sunday
Depart Leyland at 10.00hrs for our journey to Newcastle with a lunch stop at Locomotion en-route. Get up close to incredible engineering feats in Shildon, The Worlds first railway town. Depart at 15.00hrs to continue our journey to the hotel. Arrive to a warm north east welcome with tea/coffee while you case is taken to your room.

Free day in Newcastle to explore, obtain lunch or relax at the hotel, the choice is yours.
Tuesday
Today's excursion takes us to Beamish open air museum in Stanley. Discover what life was like in the County Durham of yesteryear as you traverse the site either on foot or by vintage transport, explore houses from different eras, browse shops, there's even a cinema and pub. Beamish has got much to offer you may have to re-visit; it will certainly leave you wanting more!
Wednesday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast, before our journey home we head to Gateshead to visit the Metrocentre, the wonderful shopping and entertainment complex on the former site of Dunston Power Station. Shop until you drop with a choice of over 270 stores, you won't go hungry either with 60 places to eat and a range of leisure activities to keep you busy. Re-join the coach at 14.00hrs to continue our journey home.
