Itinerary:
Monday
Depart Leyland at 08.00hrs for our journey to the Angel Hotel, Chippenham with a lunch stop at RAF Cosford en-route. Depart Cosford at 13.00hrs to continue our journey to Chippenham, arrive to a warm West Country welcome while your case is taken to your room.
Tuesday
Today's excursion takes us to Bristol, home of Brunel and Banksy, explore this wonderfully vibrant city filled with history with time to obtain lunch before we visit Aerospace Bristol for supersonic fun in the home of the last Concorde to fly. Take a journey through more than a century of fascinating aviation history from the earliest powered flights to the modern day.
Wednesday
Morning free in Chippenham with time to explore and obtain an early lunch or perhaps pick something up for the journey. Join the coach at 12.00hrs, take a scenic journey to the Mendip Hills to visit the iconic natural gem Cheddar Gorge and Caves. The spectacular limestone Gorge boasts breathtaking cliffs and extraordinary subterranean stalactite show caves. (please ensure that you dress appropriately, layers will allow you to keep warm, please wear sensible footwear with a decent grip).
Thursday
Today we head to the compact city of Bath, discover life through the eyes of Jane Austen as you marvel at the honey-coloured historic buildings and grand sweeping architecture of the Royal Crescent and majestic Circus. One of the most stylish destinations, Bath is brimming with independent stores and popular high street brands. This delicious destination is also great for foodies, perhaps sample a bun from Sally Lunn's famous eating house situated in Bath's oldest house. Today we include a visit to the Roman Baths where 2,000 years await to be discovered and explored. Depart Bath at 15.00hrs, return to the hotel allowing time to relax before dinner.
Friday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for the return journey home with a lunch stop at Royal Leamington Spa enroute. Depart Royal Leamington Spa at 13.30hrs
