Itinerary
Monday
Depart Leyland at 09.00hrs for our journey to Llandrindod Wells with a suitable lunch stop en-route
Tuesday - Thursday
Full day - Today we head to Llanfair to take a single journey on the Welshpool and Llanfair Railway to Welshpool. Spend a little free time in Welshpool before heading to nearby Powis Castle, a medieval fortress built in the 13th century sitting on a rock high above its world-famous garden.
Long half day - Today we head to Aberystwyth for a return journey on the Rheidol Railway to the Devil's Bridge where we spend 1hr before heading back to Aberystwyth where you will have free time to explore allowing time for lunch before returning to the hotel mid-afternoon.
Half day - Today we journey to the Elan Valley Visitor Centre. Part of the stunning and rugged Cambrian Mountains, Elan is a beautiful and unspoilt area made even more compelling by the dams and reservoirs which together create a wonderful, living landscape. The views here are spectacular, and you're never far from points of interest, take a scenic guided tour with an Elan Valley Ranger joining us onboard the coach. Today includes free time in Llandrindod Wells for time at leisure.
Friday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for our journey home with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
