Spend free time exploring Barnstaple, the largest town in North Devon, wander its bustling streets and discover its rich history, enjoy it’s many shopping and dining opportunities with plenty of things to see and do along the way. Visit Arlington Court and the National Trust Carriage Museum, an intriguing Regency house with a wonderful collection of horse-drawn vehicles set in picturesque gardens. For a unique and unforgettable experience, we visit Quince Honey Farm, the largest honey farm in the UK with a behind the scenes guided tour of the factory including honey tasting, learn about bees and beekeeping and wander through the wonderful pollinator-friendly gardens with a Cream Tea included. During our stay travel the spectacular and diverse region of North Devon into Somerset through Exmoor National Park to visit historic Dunster and the beautiful seaside town of Minehead, enjoy this area of dramatic coastlines, rugged moors and green valleys, wonderful, designated areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Wednesday
Depart Leyland at 08.00hrs for our journey to Devon with a suitable lunch stop en-route
Thursday
Today we visit South Molton, Gateway to Exmoor with its wonderful award-winning Thursday Pannier Market and exquisite shops including Melchior handmade Swiss Chocolates, perhaps visit the shop and see Carlo and his team working away in the factory, feeling hungry, south Molton has an array of places to eat from traditional fish and chips to cosy pubs and traditional tea rooms but save room for your cream tea as this afternoon we head to nearby Quince Honey Farm with a guided factory tour and a chance to sample their golden nectar, with a delicious Cream Tea in the Nectary Restaurant included.
Friday-Saturday
Half day - Free morning in Barnstaple to enjoy the hotel or explore the historic town with an afternoon visit to Arlington Court and National Trust Carriage Museum.
Full day Today we take a scenic drive to the North Eastern fringes of Exmoor National Park in Somerset with a morning stop in Exmoor's prettiest and most fascinating historic village, medieval Dunster, in the afternoon visit the picturesque seaside town of Minehead, travel back to the hotel along the scenic coast continuing through the Exmoor National Park via Porlock, Lynton and Lynmouth.

Check out of our hotel following breakfast for our journey home with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
