Itinerary

Sunday
Depart Leyland at 06.30hrs for our journey to Dover to board our P&O ferry to Calais, with a suitable lunch stop en-route. Re-join the coach as we disembark in Calais to continue our journey to our 4-star hotel in Lille. (we suggest taking an overnight bag so that your main case can be left on the coach, make sure you pack essentials, medication etc in your overnight bag). Arrive at our overnight hotel to a warm welcome with a soft drink while your luggage is taken care of, head to your room with time to freshen up before joining us for our evening meal.

Monday
Check out of our overnight hotel following breakfast as we continue our journey through France into Belgium with a suitable lunch stop in Dinant on the banks of the River Meuse in the beautiful Ardennes region of Belgium, allowing time to explore this incredibly picturesque spot. Re-join the coach to continue our journey into Germany and on to the Moselle Valley and our hotel in Zeltingen-Rachtig on the banks of the Rivel Moselle, our home for the next 4 nights. This evening enjoy a 3-course dinner in the main restaurant.

Tuesday
This morning following breakfast our excursion takes us to the pretty riverside town of Cochem, here we take a circular cruise along the River Moselle, enjoying views of Reitchsburg Castle and the surrounding vineyards. The rest of the day can be enjoyed at leisure in historic Cochem, allowing time to explore the Old Towns quaint squares and winding alleyways, half-timbered building and impressive town gates, watched over by the imposing 11th century Reichsburg Castle, a Gothic masterpiece perched on a rocky outcrop affording magnificent views. Return to the hotel via a scenic driving route along the banks of the Moselle.

Wednesday
Today following breakfast our excursion takes us to Trier, spend the morning exploring this fascinating place with a treasure trove of well-preserved Roman structures including the magnificent Roman city gate - Porta Nigra, the grand St Peter's Cathedral and Aula Palatina, a Roman Palace Basilica. In the afternoon we visit Bernard-Massard Winery, the leading family producer of still and sparkling wines in Luxemburg, enjoy a tasting of two wonderful wines during our tour.

Thursday
Today following breakfast our excursion takes us to visit Luxembourg City, starting our day with a two-hour guided tour of the city with a guide joining us onboard the coach, a great way to get our bearings. This will be followed by the rest of the day at leisure in this wonderful city, where the trams are free for residents and visitors alike, just jump on and take a seat. Allowing time for lunch and to explore, perhaps revisit some of your favourite sights from this morning's tour or uncover more of the city's hidden gems. Attractions include the Grand Ducal Palace - the official residence of the Grand Duke of Luxembourg, the 17th century Cathedrale Notre-Dame, the fascinating National Museum of History and Art, the 18th century tunnels and the WWII shelter at Casemates du Bock. Return to the hotel late afternoon.

Friday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast to begin our journey to our overnight hotel in Mouscron Belgium, with a suitable lunch stop en-route before re-joining the coach to continue our journey to our overnight hotel where we will enjoy a 3-course set dinner.

Saturday
Check out of our overnight hotel following breakfast as we continue our journey to Calais with a stop in historic Ypres en-route with a little time to explore before continuing to the port to board the 15.00hrs ferry back to Dover. Re-join the ferry as we disembark in Dover to continue our journey home with a suitable meal break en-route.
