During our stay travel through beautiful countryside and enjoy coastal views, with free time to explore elegant Eastbourne. Visit the historical fortified hilltop town of Rye with its timbered houses with terracotta roofs lining cobbled streets and secret passageways, once the haunt of smugglers and highwaymen. Take scenic drives into the heart of Sussex countryside and the South Downs National Park. Visit two of the county’s most picturesque villages, Alfriston and Rottingdean, enjoy views as we journey along the coast with views of the iconic Severn Sisters and Beachy Head with stops at the Visitors Centres. Itinerary
Monday
Depart Leyland at 08.00hrs for our journey to Eastbourne with a suitable lunch stop en-route, start the festivities early, today is Christmas Eve, arrive to a warm welcome with tea/coffee while your luggage is taken care of, tonight we have a Christmas themed quiz or bingo and our evening meal.
Tuesday
Today is Christmas Day - Merry Christmas to all our Avatravellers, today is your own to explore the resort of Eastbourne or relax at the hotel, the choice is yours. Tonight we have a traditional Christmas dinner followed by live entertainment.
Wednesday
Following breakfast today's excursion takes us into the heart of the beautiful Sussex countryside with visits to the picturesque villages of Alfriston and Rottingdean, with coastal views as we travel to Seven Sisters and Beachy Head Visitor Centres. Returning to the hotel mid-afternoon for free time in Eastbourne. Tonight, back at the hotel we have live entertainment following our evening meal.
Thursday
Following a leisurely breakfast today's excursion takes us on a scenic journey to historic Rye in the beautiful High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, allowing you time for lunch and to explore and discover Rye's tales of smugglers and highwaymen. Tonight, following dinner, we have Christmas-themed in-house entertainment (quiz or bingo).
Friday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for the return journey home with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
