Itinerary
Monday
Depart Leyland at 07.30am for our journey to the Highland's with a suitable lunch stop en-route. Scotland's biggest, boldest scenery awaits you as we journey north along scenic Loch Lomond and Glorious Glencoe. Arrive at the Priory Hotel in Beauly our home for the next 4 nights, receive a warm Scottish welcome with tea/coffee while our luggage is taken care of.
Tuesday
Today the beautiful Moray Coast awaits with a visit to the magnificent turreted Brodie Castle and its stunning gardens. Depart for time at Brodie Countryfayre and the lovely traditional town of Forres. Travel along the coast road passing the traditional fishing villages of Burghead and Lossiemouth with its two wonderful sandy beaches before our return to the hotel.
Wednesday
Today we head to the wonderful city of Inverness to enjoy free time exploring the historic city with its 19th century cathedral, kilt museum and many shops, bars, and cafes. Following time for lunch we take a cruise on the Moray Forth, keep an eye out for mischievous dolphins in the wonderful wildlife-rich waters.
Thursday
Today we venture north along the east coast to Golspie and a visit to the fairytale Dunrobin Castle. Enjoy magnificent gardens and views across the sea before heading to the lovely historic town of Dornoch, on the return to the hotel we travel along The Black Isle Peninsula, steeped in history with Pictish stones, medieval stonework and charming 17th century seaside village, also known for its abundant wildlife and surrounded by nature, part of the North Coast 500, the views are wonderful and anything but black!
Friday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for our journey home travelling back through the Cairngorms National Park via Aviemore and Pitlochry with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
