Itinerary
Thursday
Depart Leyland at 14:00pm for our journey to Hull where we will board our overnight ferry to take us on a mini cruise to Rotterdam, once onboard disembark the coach (we suggest taking an overnight bag so that your main case can be left on the coach, make sure you pack essentials, medication, valuables etc in your overnight bag as access to the coach once onboard will be prohibited). Perhaps have dinner on the ferry, enjoy the onboard entertainment before retiring to your cabin for the night.
Friday
Perhaps enjoy breakfast on-board the ferry, re-join the coach to disembark in Rotterdam, before travelling to our hotel making a suitable lunch stop en-route, as we are bed and breakfast basis in Brugge take time to explore this compact chocolate-box city, with wonderful foodie opportunities to suite every palate and pocket, from cosy restaurants to outdoor heated terraces that line the market square at the city's very heart, sample local delicacies and enjoy a wonderful Belgium beer in one of its many bars.
Saturday
Following breakfast join the coach as we head to the canal-threaded Belgium city of Ghent, enjoy time to explore and perhaps do some Christmas shopping allowing time for lunch in this wonderful historic city. Ghent's city centre is a pedestrian area that is like a museum to Flemish architecture and the city's medieval past. Take your time wandering Ghent's narrow, picturesque streets and alleyways, visit museums housing artworks of Flemish masters and fuel up on Belgian delicacies, waffles, coffee and Belgian beer. Head back to Brugge mid-afternoon for time to relax at the hotel or explore.
Sunday
Following breakfast today is yours at leisure to explore Brugge, be surrounded by everything festive as Brugge is transformed into a wonderful, winter wonderland, today is the start of the Christmas markets, take in the festive, sights, sounds and smells, take a horse-drawn carriage ride or a festive river cruise, visit De Witte Pelikkan, the magical all-year round Christmas shop, a delight for the young and young at heart alike. Visit pretty chocolate shops, have fun treating yourself or buying gifts for loved ones and friends from the chalets around the Christmas Markets.
Monday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast as we travel to France to board the ferry in Calais to Dover in the UK. Re-join the coach to disembark in Dover and continue our journey home with a suitable meal stop en-route.
