Sunday
Depart Leyland at 9.00am for our journey to historic Bury St Edmunds with a suitable lunch stop en-route, relax while our luggage is taken care of.
Monday
Today we have a free day to relax at the hotel and enjoy exploring Bury Sy Edmunds, as it goes dark, we join the coach to head to Helmingham Hall to uncover the fun and beauty of the illuminated Garden Trail.
Tuesday
Following breakfast today's excursion takes you into Constable Country, visit East Bergholt the town where Constable was born with visits to Flatford and Debham, beautiful locations that featured in some of his most iconic painting including The Hay Wain, on the return to the hotel visit picturesque Lavenham with its higgledy piggledy coloured cottages, this is where Constable went to school.
Wednesday
Following breakfast today's excursion takes us to the edge of the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty to visit the historic, riverside town of Woodbridge, one of the gems in Suffolk's crown, discover Woodbridge's history of ropemaking, boat and ship building, home to one of only two working tidal mills left in the UK, allowing time to explore continuing to the Suffolk coast to visit Aldeburgh where Francis Drakes Golden Hind and Virginia Company's Sea Venture were built,
We make our lunch stop here, Aldeburgh is famous for the best fish and chip shops in Britain, why not sample them at Aldeburgh Fish and Chips or their sister fish and chip shop, The Golden Galleon (close at 14.00hrs).
Thursday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for the return journey home with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
