Sunday
Depart Leyland at 08.00am for our journey to Inverness with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
Monday
Today we have a day of leisure to enjoy the hotel and explore Inverness, lunch will be provided at the hotel today and don't forget your afternoon tea with cream scones, tea/coffee in the lounge.
Tuesday
Long half a day - Following breakfast we take a scenic journey to visit Elgin located on the south coast of the Moray Firth, a picturesque town straddling the River Lossie surrounded by breathtaking scenery. The town offers many pleasant characteristics including the lovely ruin of Elgin Cathedral, continue our journey to enjoy the magnificent Scottish countryside as we take a circular journey back to Inverness via Rothes, Grantown-on-Spey and Tomatin, make a suitable lunch stop en-route to enjoy our packed lunch provided by the hotel, return to the hotel in time for afternoon tea of cream scones, tea/coffee.
Wednesday
Half Day - following a leisurely breakfast we travel from Inverness along the shores of Loch Ness to its most southern tip and the town of Fort Augustus with a stop at the Caledonian Canal Centre, perhaps explore the rich history of the Caledonian Canal or do some Nessie spotting while enjoying the magnificent views, grab a souvenir or enjoy some local Scottish produce. During our excursion today we have a packed lunch. Arrive back to the hotel for cream scones, tea/coffee mid-afternoon.
Thursday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for our return journey home with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
