Itinerary
Friday
Depart Leyland at 08.00am for our journey to Norfolk and our hotel on the outskirts of Norwich with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
Saturday
Full day tour - following breakfast take a leisurely drive to Holt for a nostalgic journey on the North Norfolk Railway or better known as the Poppy Line, steam through wonderful Norfolk countryside to Sheringham where we have free time to explore the stunning seaside location, allowing time for lunch. In the afternoon meet the coach to take a drive along the stunning Norfolk coastline to Cromer with its traditional pier and quirky shops.
Sunday
Long half day tour - following a leisurely breakfast we travel the short distance to Norwich for free time in the historic city with its hilltop castle, iconic cathedral, The Plantation Garden (right next to the cathedral), wander Elm Hill, the most complete medieval street in Norwich, a photographers dream. Head to New Castle Quarter shopping centre or take time out in the many cafes, coffee shops and restaurants many serving scrumptious, local produce from the surrounding farming community. Return to the hotel for time at leisure, perhaps book yourself a treatment (paid and booked locally by the customer) or take a relaxing dip in the hotel pool.
Monday
Full day tour - This morning following breakfast we travel to the historic Market town of Aylsham to take a single journey on the Bure Valley Railway through wonderful Norfolk Countryside to the heart of the Norfolk Broads and Wroxham, the capital of the Broads. Re-join the coach as we travel the short distance into Wroxham, home to Roys, possibly the largest village store in the country, spend some free time here before boarding the boat for a leisurely Broads tour.
Tuesday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for the journey home with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
