Itinerary

Saturday
Depart Leyland at 14:00pm for our journey to Hull where we will board our overnight ferry to take us on a mini cruise to Rotterdam, once onboard disembark the coach (we suggest taking an overnight bag so that your main case can be left on the coach, make sure you pack essentials, medication etc in your overnight bag). We will have dinner onboard the ferry, enjoy the onboard entertainment before retiring to your cabin for the night.

Sunday
Following breakfast on-board the ferry, re-join the coach to disembark in Rotterdam continue our journey to Boppard in Germany with a suitable lunch stop en-route. Arrive at the hotel to a warm welcome. This evening enjoys a complimentary welcome glass of wine before our 3-course dinner.

Monday
Half Day - Following breakfast today's excursion takes us through beautiful scenery into the Moselle Valley where we embark on a circular cruise along the Moselle River at Trier, spend free time exploring fascinating Trier, allowing time for lunch, discover a treasure trove of well-preserved Roman structures including the magnificent Roman city gate - Porta Nigra, the grand St Peter's Cathedral and Aula Palatina, a Roman Palace Basilica. Return to the hotel later in the afternoon for time at leisure to relax and explore Boppard.

Tuesday
Half day - Following breakfast this morning we take a one-way Rhine River Cruise from Boppard to journey upstream through the northern section of the UNESCO protected Upper Middle Rhine Valley to Oberlahnstein from where we continue by coach to Konigswinter, a historic Rhine Valley town located at the foot of the Siebengebirge Hills. Here we join the Drachenfelsbahn, Germany's oldest clog railway, for a return journey. From the valley station to the summit, we cover a height difference of 220mtrs, at the top we see the ruined medieval Drachenfels (Dragon's Cliff) Castle offering magnificent views across the River Rhine. Following our time in Konigswinter we return to the hotel by coach for free time to explore Boppard and relax at the hotel with its wonderful facilities

Wednesday
Full day - Following breakfast today we travel to Brohl for a one-way journey on the Vulkan Express (diesel service), a wonderfully unique narrow-gauge railway with a line that meanders up through the Brohl Valley into the Eifel Hills, where dramatic rock formations were created during a period of volcanic activity. Opened in 1901 the 11 miles journey takes 90 minutes climbing around 1310 ft. Take a scenic journey to Koblenz to spend some free time, situated where the Rhine and Moselle Rivers meet, we enjoy time exploring the Old Town.

Thursday
Half Day - Following breakfast this morning's excursions takes us back to the Moselle Valley to visit the pretty riverside town of Cochem, wander its quaint squares, winding alleyways, half-timbered architecture and imposing town gates all watched over by the magnificent Reichsburg Castle allowing time for lunch, in the afternoon head back to Boppard for time at leisure in the resort , perhaps relax and use the facilities at our luxury 4-star hotel.

Friday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast to begin our journey to Rotterdam with a suitable lunch stop en-route. Continue our journey to Rotterdam to check in at the port, once onboard the ferry disembark the coach (don't forget your overnight bag) enjoy an evening meal and onboard entertainment before retiring to our cabins.

Saturday
Following breakfast onboard the ferry re-join the coach as we disembark in Hull to continue our journey home.
