Itinerary
Monday
Depart Leyland at 09.00hrs for our journey to the Elvetham Hotel in North Hampshire with a lunch stop in Stratford-Upon-Avon en-route.
Tuesday
Full day tour - travel through rolling Surrey countryside to the county town Guildford with its magnificent cathedral and cobbled high street allowing time for lunch and to explore. In the afternoon we visit Denbies Wine Estate where we will enjoy a 50mins vineyard tour by land train with commentary provided on-board, accompanied by a glass of Denbies Sparking Wine.
Wednesday
Full day tour - Travel to the South Downs and the town of Petersfield, today is market day, enjoy free time exploring the town and market, perhaps visit the museum, Physic Garden or Art Gallery allowing time for lunch. In the afternoon we visit the historic city of Winchester, take the chance to visit the Cathedral, browse the high street or perhaps visit one of the city's museums.
Thursday
Full day tour - this morning we take a short drive to visit to take in some of the beautiful Berkshire countryside as we travel to Henley-on-Thames, famous for its annual regatta, take a little time to explore the town before we board our boat for an 1hr river cruise along the Thames, following our boat trio we head to Windsor where we have time for lunch, wander the quaint streets or explore the many independent shops.
Friday
Check out of our hotel following a leisurely breakfast for our journey home with a lunch stop in Royal Leamington Spa en-route.
