Head to the Kent coast on a visit to Walmer Castle, explore over eight-acres of award-winning gardens in the grounds of a Tudor fortress turned country house, built on the orders of King Henry VIII to defend England’s shores. Journey to Penshurst Place House and Gardens, once a hunting lodge for King Henry VIII, walk through opulent staterooms on a guided tour of Penshurst Place, wander magnificent gardens majestically surrounding the grand house, considered to be the most beautiful in England with yew hedging dividing the gardens into a series of rooms each with its own season and colour. Sit back, relax and enjoy a cream tea on a nostalgic steam train journey from Tenterden to Bodiam, through the heart of Kent’s beautiful landscape. Visit the picturesque towns of Tenterden, the ‘Jewel of the Weald’, bursting with a wealth of history and beautiful architecture and Cranbrook the ‘Capital of the Weald’, a pretty town with a medieval layout, we include a trip to the seaside with a visit to Ramsgate, home to the only Royal Harbour in the UK.

Itinerary
Monday
Depart Leyland at 08.00am for our journey to Ashford in Kent with a suitable lunch stop en-route
Tuesday - Thursday
Full day tour - Todays visit is to Walmer Castle Gardens on the Kent coast, enjoy the views as you walk from the coach drop off to the Castle (10min walk) later in the afternoon visit Ramsgate with its retro feel and wonderful café scene clustered around the harbour.
Full day tour - travel to Tenterden the 'Jewel of the Weald' to take a steam train journey on the Kent and Sussex Railway to Bodiam with a cream tea on-board, allowing free time to explore Tenterden, nestling in the heart of Kent's Weald, the town has retained its charm and is rich in history. Wander its broad tree-lined High Street.
Full day - Todays visit is to Penshurst house and Gardens, including a guided house tour. Later in the afternoon visit Cranbrook the 'Capital of the Weald' perhaps visit St Dunstans, dating back 500 years the impressive landmark is known as the 'Cathedral of the Weald'
