Itinerary:
Monday:
Depart Leyland at 08:00am for our journey to Newquay with a suitable lunch stop en-route. Arrive at the hotel to a warm Cornish welcome and Cornish Cream Tea. Before your evening meal enjoy a complimentary glass of Cornish cider.
Tuesday:
Spend free time today, perhaps enjoy the breath-taking views, use the hotel's leisure facilities, or explore Newquay, the choice is yours. This evening there is live entertainment in the hotel.
Wednesday:
Half day tour - following a leisurely breakfast travel with us to the traditional, picturesque fishing village of Port Isaac located within an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village is the filming location for the TV series Doc Martin. You'll have plenty time to explore the village, see if you can find the Docs house. Port Isaac may be small, but you won't go hungry, around every corner is a cosy café or traditional Cornish pub where you might even find the odd smuggling tunnel, regardless they will be serving wonderful, tasty dishes made from local ingredients. Return to the hotel to relax and enjoy the leisure facilities and amazing views or perhaps head into Newquay.
Thursday:
Long half day tour - following a leisurely breakfast join us for a journey into the heart of Cornish countryside to visit Healeys Cyder farm with a Cornish Cream Tea, included in your admission is a Cydermaster Pass which gives you full access to the attraction inc. museums, distillery, cellars, tasting room, the presshouse, the bottling line, production halls and over 60 samples inc. jam & sauces sampling, cyder sampling, wine sampling, spirit sampling & soft drink sampling, farm and shop. As direct descendants of the great Donald Healey, inventor of the famous Austin Healey car, you can also visit a small and treasured collection of Healeys cars in Kay's Cyderhouse. Head back to the hotel mid-afternoon to prepare for a 5-course taster menu with some of the best seafood Cornwall has to offer accompanied by a glass of Cornwall's Camel Valley sparkling wine and live entertainment.
Friday:
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for our journey home with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
