Itinerary
Sunday
Depart Leyland at 10.00hrs for our journey to Holyhead to catch our afternoon ferry to Dublin. Re-join the coach as we disembark and continue our journey to Newtownmountkennedy in County Wicklow, arriving to a warm Irish welcome while our luggage is taken to our rooms.
Monday
Full Day - Today's excursion takes us into the 'Garden of Ireland' to visit historic Avoca Mill, established in 1723 Avoca Mill is Irelands oldest weaving mill. Take a guided tour to discover over 300 years of Irish handweaving and cultural history. Allowing time in Avoca village, well known as the filming location for the iconic Irish TV series Ballykissangel, take time to explore allowing time for lunch. Mid-afternoon, take a scenic return journey to the hotel via the Wicklow Mountains National Park.
Tuesday
Full Day - Today's we visit to the breath-taking Powerscourt Estate, home of one of the World's most beautiful gardens and an equally impressive house.
Wednesday
Half day - following breakfast we take the short journey to Co Wicklow's County town, Wicklow. Boasting a sheltered harbour, a heritage trail that connects many historic sites. Perthaps visit Wicklow Gaol or relax in one of the towns great restaurants and traditional bars. Take time to explore, allowing time for lunch before returning to the hotel for free time in Newtownmountkennedy.
Thursday
Check out of our hotel following a leisurely breakfast for our return journey to Dublin, before checking in at the port head to the coast to visit the charming Victorian seaside resort of Bray, the biggest town in County Wicklow, allowing time to explore, take a walk along Bray esplanade and have lunch before re-joining the coach as we head to the ferry. Re-join the coach as we disembark in Holyhead and continue our journey home.
