Our base for this trip is the town of Mold located just to the east of the Clwydian Range of mountains in North Wales. Our wonderful excursions take us to spend a day in the Ava Travel favourite seaside resort of Llandudno. Visit historic Mold on market day and Holywell, the Lourdes of Wales. Enjoy magnificent scenery as we take you on a Welsh panoramic tour with stops in Betws-y-Coed, set within a beautiful valley in the Snowdonia National Park and Bangor the oldest city in Wales, taking in breath-taking coastal views of the North Wales coastline. Don’t miss out on the great tour to blow away the winter blues. Book early to avoid disappointment.

Itinerary
Monday
Depart Leyland at 10:00am for our journey to Flintshire stopping at Chester en-route for lunch.
Tuesday
Full day trip to Llandudno.
Wednesday
Full day trip takes the short journey to visit Mold, the attractive, historic and busy market town on market day. The town grew around the motte and bailey castle built by William II, perhaps visit the 15th century church which is renowned for its famous animal fresco, we allow time for lunch before re-joining the coach, in the afternoon visit Holywell, the Lourdes of Wales, one of the seven wonders of Wales, taking its name from the towns famous 7th century major feature, St Winefrides's Holy Well, set amid beautiful countryside overlooking the estuary of the River Dee, the town has changed little over the last few hundred years with a rich variety of Late Georgian and Victorian buildings testify. The pleasant town centre has a tranquil pedestrianised shopping area.
Thursday
Full day trip - enjoy a Welsh panoramic tour with stops in Betws-Y-Coed set in a picturesque valley in the Snowdonia National Park, perhaps visit one of its numerous inns, outdoor activity shops, the railway station museum or St Micheal's church, one of the oldest in Wales, allowing time to explore before continuing our scenic journey to Bangor, the oldest city in Wales with a rich history, culture and stunning scenery located between the Snowdonia mountains and the glistening waters of the Menai Strait, allowing time to explore re-join the coach returning to the hotel via Abergele and the coast road.
Friday
Check out of our hotel following a leisurely breakfast for the return journey home with a lunch stop in Llangollen.
