Join us on wonderful excursions to the nearby resort of cosmopolitan Torquay with a visit to step back in time at Bygones, Devon’s heritage attraction filled with 100 years of British history on three wonderful floors of pure nostalgia. Journey along the coast to Sidmouth, the hidden town on the Jurassic Coast with links to royalty. Travel inland through beautiful Devon scenery into Dartmoor National Park with a visit to beautiful Buckland Abbey and Gardens the ancient hidden gem in the Tavy Valley landscape. Itinerary
Monday
Depart Leyland at 08.00hrs for our journey south to the English Riviera and our hotel in Babbacombe with a lunch stop in Stroud en-route
Tuesday-Thursday
Half day - following breakfast Join us as we journey into the Dartmoor National Park for a visit to Buckland Abbey and Gardens, discover history and tranquillity on a visit to this ancient gem nestled in the Tavy Valley landscape. Return to Babbacombe for free time to relax at the hotel and explore the resort.
Long half day - Following breakfast we travel the short distance to visit Bygones, followed by free time in the resort of Torquay, enjoy time to explore and have lunch, returning to the hotel mid-afternoon.
Full day - morning scenic journey to Sidmouth, the charming resort with royal connections with time to explore and have lunch followed by a visit to the charming town of Topsham, once a thriving port and shipbuilding centre, Topsham still retains a strong maritime flavour.
Friday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for our return journey home with a lunch stop in Tewkesbury en-route.
