Itinerary

Monday
Depart Leyland at 09.30hrs for our journey north to Irvine with a suitable lunch stop en-route. Arrive to a warm Scottish welcome with tea/coffee and biscuits while your case is taken to your room.

Tuesday
Following breakfast join the coach as we head to Glasgow to visit the superb, newly opened Riverside Glasgow Transport Museum. Afterwards we travel a short distance out of the city to visit the Burrell Collection located in the heart of Pollock Country Park. The collection is named after its donor, shipping magnet Sir William Burrell, this is one of the largest art collections in the world.

Wednesday
Today we make the short trip to visit the Scottish Maritime Museum in Irvine, home to a collection od historic vessels to view alongside showcasing Scotland's ship building heritage. The reast of the day is free to explore Irvine at leisure.

Thursday
Today our excursion takes us along the Ayrshire coast through Troon to Ayr to visit the humble cottage birthplace of Scotland's famous poet Robert Burns. In the afternoon we make the short trip to Dumfries House, one of Britain's most beautiful stately homes and best kept secrets, virtually unchanged in 250 years, housing sumptuous interiors and furnishings. HRH King Charles III headed a consortium of charities to purchase the house through the Kings Foundation, ensuring it will be kept lovingly intact and accessible to the public and future generations for years to come.
