Book NowJoin us as we head to historic Alnwick for our Spring in Northumbria tour. Spring is a wonderful time to visit this wonderful area as it wakes from its winter sleep. This tour takes us on journeys through splendid contrasting scenery of rugged coastline and rolling countryside dotted with quaint northern villages and historic towns. Follow in the steps of Pilgrims as we cross the causeway to visit the mysterious tidal island, the spiritual and scenic destination of Lindisfarne or Holy Island once home to the spiritual healer St Cuthbert where a wealth of history awaits to be discovered within its tidal walls. The ancient kingdom of Northumbria offers some of the most striking unspoilt beauty in England, don’t miss out on this tour, book early to avoid disappointment.

Itinerary
Monday
Depart Leyland at 09.00am for our journey to Alnwick with a lunch stop in historic Hexham en-route.
Tuesday
Following a leisurely breakfast journey along the Northumbrian coast to make our first stop at the colourful picturesque harbour village of Seahouses, enjoy a little free time here before re-joining the coach to continue along the coast to historic Bamburgh, allowing time to explore and obtain lunch, perhaps visit the castle, the Grace Darling Museum or take a stroll along the beach front and take in the spectacular views. In hotel entertainment this evening will be a quiz or Bingo.
Wednesday
Free day in Alnwick to explore and enjoy leisure time, perhaps visit Alnwick Castle, Alnwick Gardens or pay a visit to quirky Barter Books, one of the largest second-hand bookshops in Britain located on the wonderfully restored Alnwick Station. Before dinner tonight we enjoy a Gin tasting.
Thursday
Today's excursion takes us across the causeway to Holy Island, travel in the footsteps of pilgrims to this mysterious tidal island, once home to spiritual healer St Cuthbert. On the return to the hotel make a stop in the ancient former coaching town of Belford with free time to explore. In hotel entertainment this evening will be a quiz or Bingo.
Friday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for our return journey home with a lunch stop in Richmond en-route.
