Depart Leyland 1000 hrs for the journey south to Peterborough

 

MONDAY to WEDNESDAY

At leisure in Peterborough with the following excursions

 

Full day country drive. We travel east via Wisbech and Kings Lynn to Sandringham House (admission included) the private Norfolk home of the Queen.

 

Morning at leisure. Afternoon visit to the Burghley House near Stamford (admission included) The finest example of late Elizabethan Architecture in England. Eighteen magnificent state rooms are open to the public.

 

Full day tour of interesting sights. We first visit Ely, its cathedral is a landmark for miles around. It is a masterpiece of Norman architecture. Later continue to Cambridge, a splendid historical city with its many colleges. FRIDAY Check out of our hotel following breakfast for the return journey to Leyland.
