Journey through glorious Cambridgeshire countryside for a historic visit to Elton House and Gardens, an extraordinary, romantic part-Gothic house with some architecture dating back to 1475, enjoy a visit to this magnificent lovingly restored country pile, wander through beautiful award-winning gardens that provide a stunning backdrop to the house. Depart Leyland at 09.30hrs for our journey to Cambridge with a suitable lunch stop en-route
Tuesday - Thursday
Full day - Morning visit to the Cambridge University Botanic Gardens followed by free time in the city of Cambridge.
Full day - Morning visit and guided tour of Elton House and Gardens followed by a guided tour of Peterborough Cathedral with free time in Peterborough.
Full day - today we journey to the pocket-size, historic city of Ely, enjoy free time exploring this wonderful city, perhaps visit its magnificent cathedral or Oliver Cromwell House.
