Saturday
Depart Leyland at 06.30am for our journey to Dover to board the afternoon ferry to Calais with a suitable lunch stop en-route. Re-join the coach to disembark in Calais as we continue our journey to our overnight hotel in Laon France arriving in time for a welcome complimentary glass of wine at the bar before our evening meal. (As we have no porterage at our overnight hotels you may wish to pack an overnight bag, please ensure you have essentials like medication and valuables in your bag. Your main case will remain on the coach).

Sunday
Check out of our overnight hotel following breakfast to continue our journey to Leysin in Switzerland with a suitable lunch stop en-route. Arrive at the Hotel Central-Residence our home for the next 5 nights, to a welcome aperitif drink while our luggage is taken care of, with time to freshen up before dinner.

Monday
Today is our driver's day off. Following breakfast enjoy a day of leisure in Leysin. You may choose to relax at the hotel and make use of its extensive leisure facilities, take one of the walking trails or perhaps make your way to the Berneuse Cable Car which takes you up to the mountain summit to enjoy perfect views of Geneva and Mont Blanc on a clear day.

Tuesday
This morning following breakfast we head to Vevey to enjoy a guided tour of Chaplin's World, an engaging museum located in his former home that celebrates the life and work of the London born film star Charlie Chaplin. Followed by free time in Vevey allowing time for lunch, before embarking on a scenic paddle steamer cruise on Lake Geneva from Vevey to Montreux, situated between Lake Geneva and the Alps. This is where Freddie Mercury's statue stands on the lakeside promenade and where he recorded six albums with Queen including 'Made in Heaven' infact the Peaks of Le Grammont adorn its cover. Montreux offers spectacular views, a real postcard landscape of lake, mountain, and vineyard views. A little piece of paradise and an authentic place of inspiration for artists, musicians, and authors the world-over. Re-join the coach for the return journey to the hotel.

Wednesday
This morning we have time to take a leisurely breakfast before boarding the coach to journey across the Col de Mosses, through magnificent, scenic countryside to the village if Gruyeres. Here we discover how Gruyere cheese is made with a demonstration at La Maison du Gruyere cheese dairy. Spend time enjoying the village before continuing our scenic journey to Broc, home of the Caillier-Nestle chocolate factory, learn of the chocolates made here, with tastings of course! Before heading back to the hotel.








Thursday
Following breakfast today's excursion takes us to Col du Pillon to embark on a cable car journey to Scex Rouge, known as Glacier 3000. Experience a stunning panorama of no fewer than 24 snow-capped 4000m giants including the Eiger, Monch, Jungfrau, the Matterhorn and even Mont Blanc in the distance. Enjoy time here to take in the magnificent views, perhaps enjoy lunch in the panorama restaurant. After lunch we descend and board our coach for the short journey to the chic mountain resort of Gstaad where we have free time to browse the upmarket boutiques and cafes. From here we board our beautiful GoldenPass train for a late afternoon journey back down to Lake Geneva as we watch the late afternoon sun descend over the serene waters while enjoying a glass of local wine. On arrival in Montreux re-join the coach for the short journey back to the hotel.

Friday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast as we bid farewell to Switzerland and begin our journey back to our overnight hotel in Laon, France, with a suitable lunch stop en-route. Arrive to a warm welcome and complimentary glass of wine at the bar before our evening meal. (As we have no porterage at our overnight hotels you may wish to pack an overnight bag, please ensure you have essentials like medication and valuables in your bag. Your main case will remain on the coach).

Saturday
Check out of our overnight hotel following breakfast for our journey to Calais with a suitable lunch stop en-route. Re-join the coach to disembark in Dover and continue our journey home with a suitable meal stop en-route.
