The historic charm if Whitby, with its narrow cobbled streets and picturesque pantiled houses standing on the steeped slopes of the River Esk is world famous. A maritime fishing port, it is a sea farers haven. The area around Whitby has one of Britain’s finest stretches of coast, with cliffs, fine bays and safe sandy beaches interspersed with attractive villages.

Depart Leyland at 1000 hrs for our journey east to Whitby.

Today we are joined by a Blue Badge Guide for a tour of the North Yorkshire moors
Full day excursion which begins with a drive to the colourful resort of Scarborough. After lunch continue to Pickering for a single journey on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway to Whitby, set against the beauty of the Yorkshire Moors National Park.

Check out of our hotel following breakfast for the return journey to Leyland
