Step back in time and walk in the footsteps of Charles Dickens with a visit to Rochester offering centuries of history and heritage just waiting to be discovered. Travel through the glorious countryside of Kent to discover the walled, historic city of Canterbury with a guided tour of its magnificent cathedral, one of the city’s three UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Don’t miss out on this great tour that gives you a taste of what the wonderful county of Kent has to offer.

Itinerary
Monday:
Depart Leyland at 09.00am for our journey to Chatham with a suitable lunch stop en-route, relax, and enjoy a welcome tea/coffee on arrival as your bags are taken to your room.
Tuesday - Thursday:
Half day tour - Following a leisurely breakfast join the coach as we travel to the picturesque medieval market town of Faversham with no less than 300 listed buildings, including a stilted Guildhall and extraordinary industrial past, once manufacturing gunpowder that was used in the battles of Trafalgar and Waterloo. Today you can browse the market and a wide range of independent shops, galleries, inns and tea rooms that line the historic marketplace and quayside. Take time to explore, allowing time for lunch before returning to the hotel mid-afternoon.
Half day tour - following breakfast we have the morning at leisure to relax and enjoy the hotels leisure facilities, join the coach at noon to travel the short distance to historic Rochester with time for lunch, uncover centuries of history and heritage, walk in the footsteps of Victorian novelist Charles Dicken's who lived in the area as a child. Perhaps visit Rochester Castle or Rochester Cathedral, or wander High Street packed with quaint, independent shops, cosy cafes, and wonderful restaurants.
Full day tour - following breakfast travel though England's beautiful Garden of England to spend the day in Canterbury, in the morning we visit Canterbury Cathedral with a guided tour, includes access to the Cathedral Precincts, gardens and exhibitions. Following our visit spend free time exploring this magnificent city and UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Discover rich heritage and culture, surround yourself with magnificent architecture in the medieval walled city with a great shopping and foodie scene you'll be spoilt for choice on this wonderful day out.
Friday:
Check out of our hotel following breakfast, bid farewell to Kent as be begin our return journey home with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
