Scotland’s fourth largest city on the banks of the Firth of Tay, Dundee has been a Royal Burgh since 1190. William Wallace was educated at the monastery school and Admiral Adam Duncan, who defeated the Dutch at the Battle of Camperdown in 1797, was also born here. Dundee has much history to convey with its many museums including the new V & A Dundee, castles, observatory and history of the ‘Silvery Tay’.
